"You'll
never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy."
-- Obi Wan Kenobi NOTE: I'm no longer actively updating this site, so I'm afraid I won't be accepting new submissions anymore. Well, at least for now... I mean at some point I may come back and do a big update... Basically what I'm saying is I'm not guaranteeing any more updates at this point. But please, continue to enjoy the site as it is. There's a lot of content here and I'm sure you can find nearly everything you're looking for to fulfill your villainry needs. First off , I'm going to state my "want" list here. You can't avoid it, and I'm hoping you'll peruse it and let me know if you can satisfy any of these requests. If you're a first-time visitor scroll down for the Site Updates, THFCV Manifesto , and some Info about myself. Meanwhile, I've tried my darndest to include decent bios with each of the Super Villains I've included in this site, but unfortunately there's only so much TV one person can watch. As a result, a few of these guys and gals are missing the appropriate descriptions they so richly deserve. I ask you, oh wonderful visitor, can you help me with the following characters: Murky
and Lurky, Rainbow Bright There's the list. Feel free to have a look at their existing bios in the Hall of Fame and Ladies Lounge. Some have a bit . of information, some are seriously lacking. Please email me if you can help. (note: due to the fact that I'm not actively maintaining this site any more, I'm no longer accepting emails.) Okay troops, as you were. Oh,
and just one more thing. Before you ask, NO, I do
not own any rights to any of the imagery contained in these pages.
The imagery belongs to the rightful copyright holders, and whenever possible
I have linked the images back to official homepages or at least really
good fansites. Right. Also, I'm not going to pretend I scanned in all
these images myself. I didn't do it. I yoinked them from various sources.
So what? This is an encyclopedia of villainry! Just because Encyclopedia
Britanica has an entry about China doesn't mean it owns or created China!
Got it? Good.
Carry on. |
6.25.02 11.28.01 11.27.01 11.22.01 11.14.01 11.5.01 10.29.01 10.25.01 10.18.01 10.17.01 Anywho, I've got 2 pieces of New Stuff info for you. First of all, I'm pleased to announce the induction of Wiley E. Coyote into the Hall of Fame. Don't ask me how I managed to miss him for this long. I was having a discussion about orignal Chuck Jones characters and I was stricken by an epiphany. Wiley! Super Genious! He must join us! So anyway, thanks to Alan Cherry for reminding me of this ommission. The next piece of big news is the addition of a NEW SECTION!!!!! *Insert sound of marching bands and mass applause* If you'll check the lefthand sidebar you'll see i've massaged it into a better order of events, as well as started a Dragonball and Dragonball Z Gallery of Villains. This gallery is just a way for me to further purge my obsession with the 2 GREATEST SHOWS EVER... *ahem*... sorry. So any visiting DB/Z fans may notice that it's not a comprehensive listing of every bad guy. Why is that? Because this is The Home For Cartoon Villains, not The Home For Cartoon Bad Guys. Same criteria applies for their qualifications as to everyone else. But I think you'll find the gallery quite pleasing. Check it out! Previous
Updates Good lord have I been a busy little beaver! Never underestimate how a lagging economy can encourage dilligent site-construction! So for those of you who have been here before, you might have noticed the seriously lacking Links section (over in the lefthand sidebar, El Presidente). Actually it had been lacking since the first incarnation of this site almost 2 years ago. Finally, however, I'm slapping it into a decent little resource for linkages. Check it out for some suggestions of other places to go vent your Villain-Lovin' energies. And if you've got a site for a villain, be it small or large, let me know and I'll add a link for you, too. After all, this is a Villain Website of the people, for the people, and by the... uh... person. Me. And speaking of links-a-go-go, I've taken a few days of labor-intensive... uh... labor to scrape up links for EVERY SINGLE VILLAIN ON THIS SITE!!!! You heard me right, every villain pic from the Ladies Lounge through the Halls of Fame links to a webpage relevant to that character or show. Now I'm not guaranteeing the consistency of quality on other sites, I've got no control over that. But I think you'll find yourself pleased with all of the info now available at the click of a mouse. Best of all, you can visit all the fanpages you want and The Home For Cartoon Villains will stay active and open in the background, ready for your return. How does it work? Through new revolutionary developments in Internet Technology that I call "Click-A-Pic!!" Okay, so it's not new technology, and it's really just a link on a picture just like any other site. But the point is, THEY'RE ALL LINKED!! Geez, I've got over 180 villains on this site, do you realize the monumental proportions of what I've undertaken here? So go ahead and try it! Click Piccolo up there! Go ahead! But then come back, okay? There's so much to see!! New section!! New section!!! Bee-ooop Bee-ooop!! Yeah, that was my little way of making a sound effect without you having to wait for it to load into your browser. Convenient eh? Anyway, I'm expanding the scope of the Home for Cartoon Villains. Yessiree-bob, I'm thinking about including Video Game Bad Guys (I like capital letters...). So if you'll check the side bar over there to the left you'll see I've already started building it. Of course I feel obligated to mention here that I don't play video games. I am one impatient girlie and I can't be bothered sitting in one place for that long. That's basically my way of saying "HELP!!!!" You like video games? You like Villains? You like Home For Cartoon Villains? You like me? Wanna help me? I'm way open for suggestions on this section. I need names, bios, and if at all possible screengrabs. You helpa me, yes? ANYWAY,Check out more Loneheart bios for Harley Quinn and Scar of Lion King fame. Look for even more suggestions to be fulfilled in the near future as well. You know what else? VENGER!!!!!! Please tell me you know who I'm talking about! Do you remember the cartoon Dungeons and Dragons from the 80s? Man, I loved that show. Believe it or not i completely forgot about Venger up until now. See, I was beating up this little role-playing nerd the other day.... oh, I'm just kidding. Sheesh! So my point is, I found a great pic of Venger, a fantastic website for the old show, held a brief but elegant induction ceremony where Mr. Venger gave a 45 minute speech (he ignored my requests to keep it short, the evil jerk...), smashed a bottle of champagne over his head and called it a day. So check him out on the last page of the Hall of Fame. While you're at it, you can read up on another new addition named Invader Zim. And Speaking of Zim... NEW CARTOONS! NEW CARTOONS!! God bless Nickelodeon Studios! I saw "Invader Zim" and "Fairly Oddparents" for the first time this weekend and i fell in love! these are great, great shows! Zim's been inducted into the Hall of Fame, and Vicky from "Oddparents" is in the Ladies Lounge. Check them out, you'll love them! I've had a flush of new suggestions lately and for once I got on the ball before the emails went stale. Check out additions of Murky and Lurky from "Rainbow Bright," the Hooded Claw from "The Perils of Penelope Pitstop," Scar from "The Lion King," and Nakago from "Fushigi Yuugi." I'm not saying they've got satisfactory bios yet but they're all linked to wonderful fansites. Dr. Zin finally has a backstory thanks to a friendly bloke from the Sunshine State, and I figured out my own Spellbinder issues this week while i was playing hooky from work. But wait, there's more! Baron Silas Greenback has a shiny brand new Bio and I've added Count Duckula to the Hall of Fame. Also, I learned the real name of the naughty penguin in Wallace and Gromit's "Wrong Trousers." It's Feather's McGraw in case you were wondering. Big giant HUGE thanks to Loneheart (I keep thinking his name is Lonestar... just a Spaceball's thing i guess...) for his contributions! Not only that, but you might have noticed that Magneto, Kingpin, and Dr. Doom all bio'ed up like pimps, and there's a new addition to the Featured Villains section, Thanos of Silver Surfer fame! He'll be joining the Hall of Fame as soon as I can find the time to edit down a synopsis about him. I'd like to thank Thanos6 for his contribution to the Wide World of Villainry. YAY!!!!!. |

THFCV Manifesto This site is dedicated to the Cartoon Super Villain. Perhaps consider this to be a How-To, as it were. A philosophical detailing of the abilities and value system of the average Super Villain. Have a look around, chances are you'll run across a villain whose evil days have had a profound impacton your own life. And you might even find a few hints on how to achieve your own Super Villain Status. After all, who hasn't dreamed of conquering the world? The links in the side-bar to the left will take you into various chapters of this How-To manual. And feel free to sign into my guestbook with any suggestions for villians or villainous skills worth highlighting. I'm lame. I'm a recent college graduate and I'm completely devoted to the world of cartoons. Name a cartoon. Go ahead, shout it out. Yup, I've seen it. Over the many years that I've been absorbing animated content I've found myself drawn more and more to certain characters, inevitably the villains. Whether we're talking Piccolo-Diamoah, the Joker, Gendo Ikari, Hexadecimal, The Red Guy, Angelica, or Yosemite Sam, I dig those slimy low down evil doers. Bad guys tell us more about our humanity than good guys. Good guys are based on what we should be, but bad guys are based in what we are. Come on, who hasn't rooted for Cobra Commander at some point? Don't you just want Johnny Quest to eat it sometimes? Even Roger Ramjet's got it coming to him. Doesn't the Kingpin deserve to whack Spiderman over the head once or twice? After all, he's worked for it. It's not easy to be a Super Villain. You've got to work and sweat and slave to keep your cronies in line, to assemble the liquid assets to buy crazy gadgets (I'm assuming Evil Villains don't have the best credit ratings in history...), and the organizational skills to plan giant heists. Not to mention the inner-honesty to admit that if it all goes wrong arranging for a helicopter to arrive on the roof might not be a bad idea. Bad guys may be fallable, but at least that's better than goody-two-shoes good guy protagonists. Really, the Powerpuff girls may be cute, but Mojo JoJo steals the show. Bad guys rule! |
